Montana Crunch Time!
From the website: "Montana Crunch Time is a statewide event to celebrate National Farm to School Month, local producers, and nutritious foods by crunching into local foods (including and beyond apples!) on the second Tuesday in October."
Our Elementary students and teachers gathered outside to select locally grown --literally down the street-- apples and pears for a massive Crunch!
Many thanks to our community members Flo Kiewel for apples, to Brenda Powelson Vick and her husband Jerry Vick for pears, and other generous neighbors.
