Basketball schedule change for Thursday—5/6 grade and 7/8 grade will play @ West Valley.
The home basketball games for tonight have been cancelled.

This morning, our Deer Park family experienced a great loss. A terrible accident occured and there was a house fire at the home of Jeff and Miriam Watts. Tragically Jeff, and Miriam’s father were trapped inside. This is devastating to all of us as Jeff was a beloved member of our staff. We are sending this notice out to you to give yourselves and your children a chance to process this news before school tomorrow. We are attempting to make it as normal as possible, but we realize that there will be some pivots in the day as needed. To help minimize some of these pivots, we will have counselors available for anyone who may need to talk. We encourage you to focus on how we can help our students and support Miriam.Thank you for being such a close community as we are all grieving and working through this together.

Update! There was a typo on the basketball schedule. The game against Marion is tomorrow, not today.
Next week is Red Ribbon Week! Each day, students and staff can participate by dressing up according to the daily theme! There will be a door decorating contest, prizes, and giveaways!

Deer Park School wishes to honor the incredible legacy of Tribal Chief Earl Old Person of the Blackfeet Nation. He passed away at the age of 92 this week, and his passion for all Native Americans' culture and traditions will live on! He served the Blackfeet Nation for over 40 years, traveling the world in his quest to honor the American Indian.
Don't forget that tonight is the Open House!
It is from 4:30-6:30 PM! Rotating schedules are posted all over the grounds, so that everyone can tell when different teachers are presenting. Specials' teachers will either be floating around or in their classroom (music, etc.)
Food will be served in the gym, beginning at 5 pm. Also, K and under aged students may go to the Kindergarten classroom for childcare (except infants).
Got apples? Bring them to tonight's open house & we'll press them into fresh apple cider! Our kindergarten class pressed cider a few weeks back and the weather is looking perfect to do more this evening. 🍎🍏🍎
