Good morning Deer Park Families. The basketball game tonight against Trinity Lutheran has been CANCELLED. There will be practice as usual. 5/6 from 3:30-5:00 and 7/8 from 5:00-6:30.
There will be no School lunch on Friday January 26. Be sure and bring a lunch from home or order the fundraising lunch for that day.

We have a very busy week of girls basketball ahead of us! The girls have a home game tonight, Wednesday, and Thursday - all beginning at 4:00pm. The 7/8th grade girls basketball teams will be playing in the "Somers Jamboree" on Saturday 1/27. They will be playing two games. One at 11:00am and another at 3:00pm. Due to large drifts and unplowed roads many of our family and staff are unable to travel. Therefore, we will be having a REMOTE LEARNING DAY. Your teachers will communicate with you this morning.
We will have a two-hour delay today. School will start at 10:20. Crash Zone will open at 9:00. Please use caution and do what's best for your family.
The basketball game against Kila has been rescheduled to Wednesday, 1/24/24, 4:00pm here at Deer Park. Additionally, there will be optional practice at tonight. 5/6 (3:30-5:00) and 7/8 (5:00-6:30). Be safe out there!

In the event of a school closure, Deer Park will switch to a remote learning day. See the attached letter for more details. Teachers will be sending home information as well. There is also a flier of activities that don't require internet or a computer and your teacher has not provided an activity.

This evening multiple school districts across the state of Montana and in the Flathead Valley received an email making threats toward schools. In this email, there was no mention of the state of Montana, Flathead County, or any specific school. School officials and law enforcement do not deem these threats to be credible, and, at this time, this notification is an informational and cautionary measure.
While these threats are unfounded, they can certainly cause a great deal of concern and disruption within our school communities. We will continue to monitor the situation with local law enforcement and will work closely with them and verify the accuracy and authenticity of any reports we receive. In the meantime, school operations will continue as normal.
The safety and security of our students and staff is our top priority. If the situation changes, you will hear directly from me.
